BIO

I currently investigate how mitochondrial subcellular positioning affects breast cancer tumorigenesis and metastasis. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in Biological Sciences, where my undergraduate research focused on protein expression differences in the progression of pancreatic cancer. During my undergraduate studies, I was a Tri-Beta (Biological Honors Society) member, worked as a research fellow through the New Hampshire Idea Network for Biomedical Research Excellence (NH-INBRE), and worked as an intern at New England Biolabs.    Students interested in pursuing cancer research as a graduate student at UVM may contact me.

Area(s) of expertise

Miro1-mediated mitochondrial positioning in the development and metastasis of breast cancer
