BIO

Susan most recently served as co-coordinator of the Early Childhood Education Program. A former kindergarten and preschool teacher, she has been involved with the UVM PreK-3 Early Childhood Program since completing her graduate work with the College of Education and Social Services in 1993. Susan mentors pre-service teachers during their K-3 public school internships and student teaching (EDEC 296, EDEC 187). She also coordinates K-3 placements in area schools.

Susan has been a co-coordinator of the Vermont Kindergarten Conference (a collaboration between the Vt. Agency of Education and UVM Early Childhood Programs) since it's inception in 1992. Her professional interests include statewide advocacy projects, children's literature, and joyful learning.
