BIO

Jean is the Senior Staff Advisor for the CESS Dean's Office and Executive Assistant to Dean Katharine (Katie) Shepherd. She ensures special projects and strategic initiatives are carried out for the college. In alignment with our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice, she specializes in human resource functions, specifically faculty and staff searches, leaves of absence, FMLA/LOA, workman’s comp and other human resource benefit related issues. 

Jean's efforts have led to more efficient and streamlined approaches to faculty and staff hiring, RPT processes, and management of a number of processes associated with faculty governance committees such as the CAC, FEC, and FSC. She also manages forms that facilitate faculty and staff hiring processes, data-gathering for awards, and research contributions, among others.
