MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger - Food Justice Internship

Are you passionate about anti-hunger advocacy? Work with MAZON, a national organization inspired by Jewish values and ideals working to end hunger among people of all faiths and backgrounds. The MAZON intern will be an integral part of MAZON’s team, assisting with research to advance anti-hunger policies. The intern will have a unique opportunity to work closely with MAZON's senior staff and actively contribute to the strategic discussions, planning, and implementation of public policy and programmatic priorities.

Open to all rising juniors and seniors within the College of Arts & Sciences. UVM and MAZON will provide a combined stipend, totaling $5000, to the student selected for this opportunity.

Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty (SHECP)

Are you interested in a funded summer internship opportunity working on issues of poverty and social justice? The Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty Summer (SHECP) Internship provides housing and a stipend for students in all majors and career paths as they engage in meaningful work and relationship building in under-resourced communities. SHECP interns are matched with an agency that best fits their interests, and participate in full-time volunteer work for eight weeks in multiple urban, suburban, and rural areas across the country. Interns complete a variety of preparation modules in April and May and attend a virtual Opening Conference. Interns convene for a virtual Closing Conference to process their experiences.
