Laurie Kutner is a Library Associate Professor Emerita at the University of Vermont with a specialty in environmental information. She worked closely with the Rubenstein School of the Environment and Natural Resources, Anthropology Department, Geography Department, Global and Regional Studies Program, Honor’s College, and the Gund Institute.

As a specialist in environmental information, Professor Kutner focuses on the inherently interdisciplinary nature of environmental research. She is interested in educating about and addressing the inherent inequities in our scholarly information ecosystem on a global scale, and for many years has worked closely with the Monteverde Institute in Costa Rica.
