Dr. Fatemeh Zare holds a Ph.D. in Food Science and Bioresource Engineering from McGill University and joined the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at UVM as an Assistant Professor in September 2025. With experience spanning both academia and industry, she has worked as a Food Scientist and Technical Manager, leading projects in food processing, food safety, and product development. Her research and teaching focus on food science, food processing, and food product development, with particular interest in sustainable processing and ingredient functionality.
