Sharon Mone, MBA, has served the University of Vermont since 2008 and currently leads the Office of Accessibility Services (OAS), overseeing accessibility services for students, employees, and the public. During her tenure at UVM, Sharon has been an integral part of the evolution of accessibility services, beginning with ACCESS, transitioning to Student Accessibility Services (SAS), and now guiding the expanded, centralized Office of Accessibility Services.
With more than 30 years of professional experience in accessibility and accommodation work, Sharon brings deep expertise in ADA and Section 504 compliance, inclusive design, and institutional accessibility strategy. Prior to joining UVM, she worked at UVM Medical Center as an HR Generalist, experience that continues to inform her collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to employee and workplace accommodations.
In 2025, Sharon was honored as a recipient of UVM’s Our Common Ground Award, recognizing her commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and accessible campus community.
