BIO

Haydee Miranda is the Program Director of the Tutoring Center. In this role, she provides leadership and oversight for the university-wide Tutoring Center, including the design, delivery, and assessment of academic success programs. As a professional in learning assistance and higher education, she is passionate about student success, support services, and inclusive education. She specializes in developing and managing high-impact learning programs that enhance student engagement and persistence. 

Haydee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Health and Social Justice from the University of Vermont (’19) and is currently an M.Ed. candidate in UVM’s Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration program. Her education and experience are shaped by an equity lens, through which she strives to create accessible, equitable, and effective learning environments that empower students in higher education. 

Haydee is also actively involved in the broader UVM and Student Affairs community. She serves as the Co-Content Editor for The Vermont Connection, a peer-reviewed graduate student journal in UVM’s Higher Education program. Through this work, she helps create an accessible platform for students to enrich their academic experience by developing their scholarly and professional skills, as well as their confidence in sharing ideas. 

Outside of work, Haydee enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also loves being active and learning new skills. Some of her favorite activities include hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing. She also enjoys listening to music, traveling, visiting museums, and discovering new places to eat.
