Well that year certainly flew by – not sure where it went, but I do know many great things have happened (and I anticipate over the next year will continue to happen) within the Staff Council.

I want to acknowledge the great work by your elected Staff Council representatives. A BIG thank you to each of them and I encourage you to please take a moment to thank them for their service as well. Staff Council Is In Recess 
Staff Council has concluded its meetings for this academic year. The Council will reconvene in August. If you have questions or concerns to bring to the Council, please send them to the Staff Council Office at Staff.Council@uvm.edu.

Performance Appraisals and Merit: We Want Your Thoughts

Staff Council's Outreach Committee will be holding four focus groups this summer in order to learn about the experiences and perceptions of staff following the rollout of the new performance management process.

These focus groups are invite-only to ensure that the Outreach Committee hears a range of perspectives from across the entire university community. Participants will be selected randomly. If you receive an invitation, please consider attending if you can - we want to hear from you even if you didn't have a performance appraisal this year (and even if you have never had one)! Data from these focus groups is confidential, but anonymized comments will be shared with HRDMA to help improve the process in future years.

If you don't receive an invitation to a focus group, but you would still like to share your experience with the performance appraisal process or your thoughts on the merit pay structure at UVM, please email the Staff Council Office.As always, your comments are confidential.

Summer Events and Ticket Sales are Underway!

The Staff Council Office is fully stocked with discounted Six Flags Great Escape tickets (good all 2017 season long with no blackout dates). These are available for purchase in Waterman 305 during our office hours.

We are also taking orders for Champlain Valley Fair discounted tickets (admission, bracelets, ride cards and multi-day passes). Please use this form to order by June 30th!

Lastly, the Staff Council Social Committee is sponsoring two summer events: UVM Night Vermont Lake Monsters Game & BBQ and the 13th Annual Golf Outing. These events are currently open for registrations- check on the sidebar to the right. Please check each deadline on each form! Don't miss out.

Reminder: UVM Staff Art Show Signups end on June 16th!

Calling all UVM regular staff members, full-time and part-time. Share your art and talents with us for the 7th Annual Staff Art Show! We invite UVM staff retirees, temporary employees, or Foundation employees to contact us too - we can accomodate you as long as space permits.

The exhibit will run throughout the month of September 2017, highlighted with a reception on Thursday, September 14th featured as part of Staff Appreciation Week. Registration for the Art Show is open through June 16th.
