The director of a play is responsible for making final decisions, giving inspiration, learning more about the play, and helping the actors to understand their script.  In many ways the teacher of a classroom is the director.  He/She will make decisions about what will go into the classroom as well as give the actors the information that they then must turn into their own. Another role of the teacher is to go to meetings to further their knowledge and they understanding of how to teach and to help students along the way.
