UVM Extension: extending experiences and know-how to the communities of Vermont
As Vermont's land-grant college, UVM offers a vast Extension outreach program for our friends across the state. Present in a dozen Vermont communities, Extension provides timely, research-based information and education for the families, communities and businesses of Vermont.
The UVM Extension Northwest Crops and Soils (NWCS) Program announces the release of its first program highlights publication, "A View From the Field." Among the research projects and outreach activities featured are small grains and hops, wheat production, sustainable forages and oilseeds, and farm soil and water quality.

In 2014, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Smith-Lever Act, which established the Cooperative Extension Service, a state-by-state national network of educators who extend university-based research and knowledge to the people.
