| The photographs show a Plasmodium from a Kentropyx (from Surinam) being kept in the living animal collection of the American Museum of Natural History Herpetology Department. Dr. C. J. Cole allowed blood samples to be taken. The parasite is most likely P. kentropyxi described also from a Kentropyx from Para State in Brazil (Landau and Paperna, 2001). |
