Geospatial Technologies at UVM

Examples of UVM GIS and Remote Sensing Projects
Geospatial technologies play a major role at UVM by supporting teaching and research, and community outreach within the state of Vermont. These technologies also support University research funded by the federal government (EPA, NRCS, NSF, NASA), state government (VT ANR), and non-profit organizations (Orton Family Foundation) to name just a few examples. This same research supports graduate and undergraduate student stipends and internships. Check out a few examples of the many current and past projects carried out by UVM faculty, staff, and students.
