Banquet Speaker - Rick Peyser, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters :

April, 11, 2014:

Rick Peyser is the Director of Social Advocacy and Supply Chain Community Outreach for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (GMCR) and has been working for them since 1987. He has dedicated his career to improving the quality of life for coffee producers and their families in the communities that supply to GMCR. He helps them in ways such as diversifying their sources of income, education, healthcare, and improving their access to nutritious food, clean water, and water for irrigation. Much of Rick’s work is located in coffee farming communities in Nicaragua where our current Grey Water system project is too.

Guest Lecture by Prof. Rossana Rivas from Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). She provided a great presentation to EWB in 2011 related to biomedical engineering and medical technology for low resource settings.
