Postdoctoral Associate

Alexander Prescott
Affiliated Department(s)

Geography & Geosciences

BIO

Alexander researches questions at the intersection of hydrology, geomorphology, and applied mathematics with special interest in forecasting the cascading impacts of climate change and natural hazards on sensitive ecological and societal communities. He completed a Ph.D. in Geosciences at the University of Arizona and holds a B.S. in Environmental Hydrology and Water Resources and a B.A. in Mathematics. In his role as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Vermont Water Resources Institute, Alexander is investigating numerical and data-driven methods to improve river corridor representation in support of national-scale hydrologic forecasting.
