With a 61-43 victory over the University of Maine Black Bears on Friday, March 13, the University of Vermont Women’s Basketball team claimed the America East conference title for the second consecutive season and earned their place in the 2026 NCAA March Madness Tournament. The Catamounts will play the number 3 seed Louisville Cardinals in Louisville on March 21 at noon in the opening round of the tournament. 

With their win over Maine, Vermont claimed its ninth America East Championship in program history, earning the title under Head Coach Alisa Kresge for the third time in the last four seasons.
