With a 61-43 victory over the University of Maine Black Bears on Friday, March 13, the University of Vermont Women’s Basketball team earned the America East conference title for the second consecutive season and earned their place in the 2026 NCAA March Madness Tournament. Vermont claimed its ninth America East Championship in program history. The Catamounts fell to the Cardinals of Louisville in the opening NCAA Tournament.

On November 16 UVM’s defending NCAA champion men’s soccer team defeated Bryant University 2-0 to claim the America East conference title. With the win, UVM won the conference title for the second year in a row, and the third time in the last five years. The 2024 national champion Catamounts moved on to their fifth NCAA Tournament appearance on November 23 at Virtue Filed in Burlington. An overtime 3-2 upset in the second round of that tournament ended the Catamounts’ season and their 29-game unbeaten streak.
