Despite frigid temperatures on Saturday at Virtue Field, the University of Vermont's men's soccer team defeated Bryant University 2-0, with goals scored by Omar Robbana and David Ismail, winning the America East conference title. The 2024 national champion Catamounts now move on to the NCAA Tournament. This is Vermont's fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
"My thoughts are we have the best fans in the country, they showed up today, we had snow again, we had cold weather, they never wavered, and we took a ton of energy from them," said Head Coach Rob Dow. "Congrats to Bryant on an amazing championship regular season, they're going on to do big things in the NCAA Tournament. We're proud to have such a strong conference in the America East."
As the top-seeded team, the Catamounts received a bye for the first round of the tournament. They will play the winner of the Syracuse-Hofstra match-up in the tournament's second round on November 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Virtue Field.
