Dear UVM residential students: As you heard from President Garimella, the University is transitioning to remote methods of learning and encouraging students not to return to the residence halls unless they need to live on campus.
I can imagine you have many questions as we navigate this change. Our commitment is to work with you during this process.
Your first step is to complete this form by Sunday, March 15 at 8:00pm:
COVID-19 HOUSING PLANNING FORM
In the form, you will tell us your current plan, and we will use this information to provide the correct access to the buildings and information.
To better support you through this transition, we are opening the halls as early as Saturday, March 14 at 8:00am for students who need on-campus housing and for students who need to retrieve items essential to remote learning (books, laptops, medications, passport). Students will be expected to retrieve their items by Wednesday, March 18 at 10:00am. This timeline has been put in place to be consistent with the University’s commitment to the “social distancing” strategy recommended to slow the spread of COVID-19.
For students who are unable to retrieve items essential to your participation in remote instruction, we are currently in the process of developing a method for shipping essential items to you.
