Rates for the Online Guaranteed Admission Program

Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP) students have the opportunity to enroll online at a 30% academic year tuition reduction. Rates are determined according to the students residency.

Visit the UVM Continuing and Distance Education website to learn more about this program.

Online Guaranteed Admission Program

Designed for high school graduates who need additional coursework prior to matriculating at UVM, non-traditional learners, and veterans, the newly enhanced online GAP program will help students become enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at UVM. Online courses are available during the academic year and summer session for each UVM college or school with specific courses that can be incorporated into a students degree program at UVM. While each GAP is designed to a student's individual plan, students must also meet requirements in order to matriculate into the undergraduate program at UVM.

  • All other students taking courses approved for the Online GAP are not eligible for the discounted rate listed above and will be billed according to the standard tuition rate.
  • Online GAP courses taken in summer session are not eligible for any additional tuition discount that may apply to other UVM Summer University courses. The rates displayed above will continue to apply during the summer session.

Comprehensive and UVM Health Fee Information
The Comprehensive Fee supports facilities and services available to students, including the Howe Library, Athletic Center, Center for Health & Wellbeing, Dudley H. Davis Student Center, and transportation/shuttle bus services. Part-time comprehensive fees are based on the number of credits enrolled per semester.

Student health insurance is required for continuing education students enrolled in 9 credit hours or more. Each year, students must elect to purchase the UVM Student Health Insurance Plan (UVM SHIP), or waive the UVM SHIP by providing information about your current, non-UVM, insurance policy. Students enrolled in at least 6 but less than 9 credits have the option of purchasing the UVM SHIP. Visit the Center for Health & Wellbeing website for details.
