Since its national launch in 2007 at the University of Michigan, HMS has been fielded at over 530 colleges and universities, with over a half million survey respondents. The study was last completed at UVM in 2018 as part of the JED Campus mental health initiative.
"The Healthy Minds Study can provide us a detailed picture of mental health and related issues in UVM’s current college student population," shares Erica Caloiero, UVM's Vice Provost for Student Affairs. "This insight is important for the university, as it will allow us to develop strategies for supporting our students in relevant, intentional, and collaborative means. This is fundamental to our work in creating opportunities to thrive and to nurture resilience within our campus community."
Participants are eligible to win prizes of up to $500 directly from HMS and gift certificates from the university as an incentive to complete the survey.
