Each year in March, Staff Council reserves Gutterson Ice rink for an evening open skate event, free to UVM staff, faculty, students, and families. Free hot cocoa and cookies are provided, but folks must bring their own skates.

In partnership with the Davis Center Art Curators, the Staff Council office helps to put on an exhibition of artwork by UVM staff, held in the Davis Center.

Each year Staff Council offers discounted fees for a group golfing tournament which includes lunch, fantastic awards, and a raffle. The past few years it's been held at West Bolton Golf Club.

Each summer, Staff Council hosts an evening at a Lake Monsters baseball game plus a yummy BBQ for a low price.

For many years, Staff Council has hosted an annual Holiday Bazaar each December, featuring crafts, jewelry, home decor, bath and body products, ceramics, and more.
