The Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium is much more than Northern New England’s museum of natural history — it is a place to marvel at the wonders of our world. Perfect for families and visitors of all ages, the Fairbanks Museum invites you to explore your universe.

The Museum is home to the Lyman Spitzer Jr. Planetarium, the only public planetarium in Vermont, where you can journey through the cosmos, guided by one of our astronomy experts.

Education services at the Fairbanks Museum are designed to inspire, engage and encourage students to become curious about our natural world. These programs are developed by Museum educators to meet Next Generation Science Standards. The Museum's learning experiences take place in our awe-inspiring galleries, state-of-the-art Lyman Spitzer Jr. Planetarium, Nature Classroom, Exploration Station, Science Lab and outdoor spaces. You’ll discover the natural world with trained naturalists and scientists, including specialists in astronomy, meteorology, botany, and other earth sciences.
