Sabbatical Lengths and Salaries

Note: Initial Sabbatical leave eligibility after six years (twelve semesters) of full time service

Full Sabbatical Leave (after twelve or more semesters)

• 9-month faculty = One semester at 100% salary or AY at 77.3% salary
• 10-month faculty = Five months at 100% salary or ten months at 77.3% salary
• 12-month faculty = Six months at 100% salary or twelve months at 77.3% salary

Half Sabbatical Leave (after six-eleven semesters)

• 9-month faculty = One semester at 77.3% salary
• 10-month faculty = Five months at 77.3% salary
• 12-month faculty = Six months at 77.3% salary

Professional Development Leaves

Faculty members who are not eligible for sabbatical may be eligible to apply for paid professional development leaves in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). For information on eligibility, application process, and approval process, please see CBA Section 22.2.
