Division of Faculty Affairs (DOFA)

Program Overview

The UVM Comprehensive Faculty Mentoring Program is a partnership between the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and several academic units, including the Office of the Vice President for Research, the Division of Intercultural Excellence, and Human Resources Partners. The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs coordinates group mentoring programs open to faculty at every rank, while individual academic units offer personalized mentoring tailored to each faculty member's discipline and professional goals. The University of Vermont gratefully acknowledges the Majorie S. Way Trust and the Kroepsch-Maurice Award for Teaching endowment for their support of Faculty Fellows, Faculty Awards, and faculty professional development programs.

"At the heart of UVM's faculty recruitment and retention strategic plans lies a strong commitment to faculty mentoring. We recognize the significance of ensuring that faculty members possess a comprehensive understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and the available resources to support them throughout their careers at UVM. The Comprehensive Faculty Mentoring Program is steadfast in its dedication to providing support to our faculty, fostering a deep sense of belonging, and nurturing their growth and success at UVM."
