The Instrumentation and Technical Services (ITS) department serves as the academic umbrella organization for two groups that provide technology services to the UVM community, other academic institutions, healthcare providers, businesses, government, and Vermont emerging technology companies.

As a department within UVM’s Office of the Vice President for Research, ITS supports the University’s research, educational, and outreach missions. ITS oversees the activities of IMFLabs and TSP while leveraging shared support personnel, executive staff, and facilities.

With a mission to provide quality, cost-effective technology services, ITS departments provide prototypes, comprehensive healthcare management services, responsive technology support, and specialized education to clients.
