Sarah Denu
Assistant Director for International Student Services
BIO
Sarah is the Assistant Director for International Student Services and has worked at the OIE since 2018. Sarah leads the international student services advising team which includes advising students on issues of non-immigrant student visa status maintenance, practical training opportunities, and other federal and institutional policies as they relate to UVM's international student population. Beyond immigration advising, Sarah also manages the international student services programming portfolio and coordinates international student orientation. Sarah completed her bachelor's degree in Global Studies from UVM and her master's degree in English from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Prior to UVM, Sarah worked as an ELL coach in the K-12 system and as a ski and snowboard instructor in Vermont and Colorado. Sarah studied abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica as a UVM student and has since visited Russia, parts of Western Europe, and countries throughout Central America and the Caribbean. In her free time, Sarah enjoys baking with her toddler and playing guitar.
