Hayley Barriere

BIO

Hayley is an Education Abroad Programs Coordinator and joined the UVM Office of International Education in 2022. Hayley primarily works with faculty-led Travel Study programs and independent travel students. Originally from Shaftsbury, Vermont, she is a UVM alum and graduated in 2019 with an undergraduate degree in Global Studies and in 2025 with an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. As an undergrad, she studied abroad for a semester in the Netherlands on an ISEP exchange program and wrote a bachelor’s thesis on the ways immigrant criminality is represented in the media. She currently co-leads the Early Career Professionals Affinity Group through the Global Leadership League and has presented on faculty-led programming at several NAFSA conferences. In her free time, she enjoys riding her bike, skiing, searching for the best ice cream in the state, and tending to her houseplants.
