BIO
Alice joined the Office of International Education team in 2024 as a Study Abroad Advisor. She manages day-to-day student and partner university support for the UVM Semester in New Zealand and South Korea programs, as well general advising for the Africa and Middle East regions. She has interests in growing her advising skills, particularly through the practice of Appreciative Advising, and advocating for the financial accessibility of study abroad.
Alice is currently pursuing an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at UVM, during which she hopes to expand her knowledge and grow in her work. She graduated with a BA in International Studies and Spanish from The Ohio State University, and an AAB in Art, Design and Marketing from Hocking College. While at Ohio State, she was employed as a student worker in The Ohio State University Office of International Affairs, where she was inspired to pursue a career in international education.
Before joining the OIE, Alice lived in northern Spain as an English conversation assistant for eight months in 2022-23 and spent six months in Norway and Ireland prior to that time, volunteering on organic farms. In her free time, Alice enjoys outdoor pursuits (especially hiking and cycling), painting, gardening, and traveling. She also enjoys playing board games, particularly Scrabble, in which she competes in tournaments throughout New England.
