Flu Shots

The University of Vermont is committed to the health and safety of our employees. The flu shot is an integral part of keeping you, your colleagues, and your community well.  UVM will host several on-campus flu shot clinics for UVM employees in 2024. Clinics will be administered by professionals from UVM Medical Center and registration is required.

We look forward to offering this service again in the fall of 2024

UVM Employee Wellness and UVM Medical Center staff have partnered once agin to bring flu shots to campus so that employees can access the flu vaccine quickly.

Payment

If you ARE covered on the UVM healthcare plan with BCBSVT, there is no cost to you for the flu shot. You must present your BCBSVT card and a photo ID.

If you are NOT covered on the UVM healthcare plan with BCBSVT, you will need to pay with cash or check at the time of the flu shot. The University of Vermont Medical Center will charge non-company BCBSVT insured employees who participate in the vaccination or screening event $26 per vaccination via cash or checks payable to The University of Vermont Medical Center. Credit and debit cards are NOT accepted. Please email EmployeeWellness@uvm.edu with any questions.

Flu Shot Clinic Safety Precautions

  • By Appointment Only
  • Masks are required inside the clinic space
  • Attendees will be screened for symptoms prior to entry
  • UVMMC personnel may be wearing personal protective equipment
  • All surfaces, including waiting areas, will be sanitized frequently

Considerations - when NOT to come

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, you will not be allowed to enter the clinic.

  • Fever/Chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or Body Aches
  • Headaches
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore Throat
  • Congestion/Runny Nose
  • Nausea/Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
