Professor Joseph Zamboni, J.D., M.P.H, M.P.M. has a background in law and policy and works for both the State of Maine government in program and policy development, as well as the federal government as an intermittent public health advisor. He regularly works on policy impacting those dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, often including our aging and disability populations. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked on the planning and implementation of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (“ARPA”) funds in Maine (part of the $1.9 trillion in overall national spending to support relief and economic recovery efforts). He also works on Maine’s Age-Friendly Initiative, which seeks to improve Maine’s aging policies across all sectors.
Professor Zamboni is an experienced policy professional with interests in health, health care, aging, and disability. He especially enjoys the intersection of public health policy and law. Along with a career in health care policy and oversight, he has a dedicated history in higher education. He is often consulted on public health nonprofit organization management, public speaking, research, program development, and teaching. In addition to his background in law, he has both a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Master of Public Management (MPM).
