Complex problems of the foot and ankle, reconstructive surgery, diabetic foot problems. Dr. Michelson has ongoing research interests involving the use of medical informatics in improving health care outcomes.

BIO

Jim Michelson is a Professor in Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont.  As a clinician, his focus has been on treatment of complex problems of the foot and ankle, about which he has published many research papers.  He is also deeply involved in efforts to improve the delivery of healthcare, both as the Chairman of the Orthopedic Quality Assurance Committee and the Orthopedic Director of Clinical Informatics.
