Dr. Ames is a professor at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. Following medical school at UVM she stayed for an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency and then completed a John H. Meo Spine Fellowship in Minneapolis, MN. She serves on national committees working on musculoskeletal education in medical schools, and she coordinates the musculoskeletal curriculum on behalf of the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at the Larner College of Medicine at the University.
