Admissions

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00.
  • Minimum course requirements:
    • Completion of 2 semesters of undergraduate biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry and 1 semester of calculus
    • Completion of 1 course in genetics, 1 course in microbiology with a laboratory, and 1 course in cell biology.
  • GRE/GMAT scores are not required.
  • Students must be admitted through the Graduate College before taking any courses that will be applied to the Master’s Degree.

  • Is financial aid available? Our program does not currently offer teaching assistantships, research assistantships, fellowships or tuition waivers.
  • Do I need to take the GRE to apply? No, our program does not require the GRE or other graduate level entrance exams for admission.
  • Can I apply for an application fee waiver? Yes, this can be requested from the UVM graduate school.
