Message from the Division Chief

The Larner College of Medicine’s Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, part of the Department of Medicine, offers comprehensive clinical services, teaches and trains future generations of rheumatologists, and conducts innovative research to expand rheumatology knowledge and improve patient care.

We are dedicated to quality improvement and have conducted numerous quality initiatives as we strive to improve and maintain excellence in all we do.

The faculty includes eight Rheumatologists and a Nurse Practitioner, who see patients five days a week at the Gartman Medicine Specialty Center located in the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) on the campus of the University of Vermont. We have 24 hour, 7 days per week coverage for inpatient consultations.  We provide point of care Musculoskeletal Ultrasound performed by a RhMSUS certified rheumatologist.
