A new collective bargaining agreement between the University of Vermont and UVM Staff United has been approved by the UVM Board of Trustees and ratified by the union’s membership.
The new three-year agreement includes updates to compensation and classification, enhanced and clarified employee benefits, and other improvements to the previous contract from 2022.
“We are thrilled to share the news that this new contract agreement has been ratified and approved,” UVM Chief Human Resources Officer Chris Lehman said. “Employees are vital to UVM’s campus community and everything the university accomplishes. UVM and its employees share the responsibility to reach contract agreements that are fair, equitable, and sustainable.
“This new contract demonstrates a sincere, mutual commitment to this important relationship and sets the stage for more shared success over the next three years of working together.”
A summary of the agreement is posted on the UVM human resources website, and full details are being released to employees through the appropriate channels.
