Dear UVM Faculty and Staff,
Human Resource Services is pleased to announce the launch of a new and streamlined telework request system in PeopleSoft. The new system benefits everyone by simplifying campus workflows, enhancing efficiencies, and making it easier to access and use.
At this time, all active telework agreements (those that have been approved, attested, and have not expired) have been converted into the new system. For telework requests that are still in the current workflow, units can finish approving open requests in the current system through November 15, or may choose to have those employees submit new telework requests in PeopleSoft. Because the functionality and workflow of the new system is an improvement, saving time and enhancing access to reporting at the department level, we strongly encourage departments to use the new PeopleSoft telework request instead of pushing pending/open requests through the soon-to-be outdated system.
For supervisors, this process will mirror approval workflows that are similar to ePARs, eTMPs, and eAPFs. While the telework request form is mostly unchanged, new functionality will allow department approvers to add adhoc approvers when necessary, customizing the workflow to fit department needs.
Detailed information on how to submit and approve telework requests in PeopleSoft can be viewed in the Telework Request How-to Guide (pdf) on the Human Resource Service website. Other questions can be answered by contacting Human Resource Services at hrsinfo@uvm.edu.
Sincerely,
Kaitlyn Rooney
