Employee Value Proposition

An Employee Value Proposition (EVP) provides a unifying vision of what it means to work at UVM - a clear promise, shaped by those who know it best.

Employee Value Proposition

An Employee Value Proposition answers the question:
"Why should someone choose to work for UVM, even if they already do?"

Your voice matters.

Help define UVM's story as an employer by sharing your experiences of what it's like to work at UVM by completing a short, anonymous survey. Your input will directly shape the development of UVM’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP) – a clear promise about what it means to work here: why people join, why they stay, and what makes our community meaningful. More than a recruitment tool, our EVP will be a unifying vision shaped by those who know UVM best.

Why now?

With higher education facing new pressures, political headwinds, and challenges around recruitment, retention and engagement, it's important that UVM tells a consistent and compelling story to its people and future talent.

Your Voice Matters: Employee Survey

Body

As part of Staff Appreciation Week, we are inviting you to take part in a short, anonymous survey about what it’s like to work at UVM. The survey takes 5 to 10 minutes, is completely anonymous, and will be open from October 1 - 15.

The survey is part of overall project to develop UVM’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP). That is why your voice matters. We are listening first and by sharing your experiences, you’ll help ensure that our promise reflects the reality of working at UVM – and that it becomes a story we can all stand behind.

You can take the survey by clicking here, scanning a QR code at Staff Appreciation Week events or at the Benefits and Wellness Fair on Monday, October 13.

Body

The employee survey is completely anonymous, and individual responses cannot be traced back to you. We value both your perspective and your privacy.

To support this work, UVM is partnering with ThirtyThree, an external agency specializing in employer branding. They are managing the survey and analysis to ensure independence and confidentiality.

At the end of the EVP process, UVM will receive a toolkit from our partners that includes the EVP statement, branded materials to show why people choose to work and stay at UVM, and resources to help bring that story to life.
