Leadership Positions
Nursing Supervisor
The Nurse Supervisor serves as one of the primary leaders in the Student Health clinic within the Center for Health and Wellbeing. The Nurse Supervisor serves in a critical role that supports all nurses and clinic assistants while creating a supportive and welcoming clinic culture. Provide supervision for nursing staff and functions, as well as related projects within the Center for Health and Wellbeing (CHWB) and Student Health Services (SHS). Promote collaboration across units of CHWB (CAPS, Living Well, and Athletic Medicine) in support of students’ health and success. Responsible for promoting an inclusive environment for students and staff of all races, ethnicities, religious, national origins, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and ages. Responsible for supporting the mission and philosophy of the CHWB, Division of Student Affairs and the University of Vermont. Maintains a commitment to excellence in service and quality of care and a lens focused on student success.
Medical Director
Provide medical oversight and supervision to clinicians and staff in the CHWB Student Health Services, providing clinical services, coordinating and participating in chart and peer review, monitoring standards of care, and responding to UVM medical emergencies. Develop, coordinate and provide medical oversight and supervision to academic medical rotations in the Center’s clinics. Participate on the CHWB Leadership Team. Responsible for promoting a safe Center for Health and Wellbeing for students and staff of all races, ethnicity, religions, national origins, gender sexual orientations, disabilities and ages. Responsible for supporting the mission and philosophy of the Center for Health and Wellbeing, Division of Student Affairs and the University of Vermont.
Counseling Positions
Opportunity for Part-Time Clinical Work
Counseling and Psychiatry Services (CAPS) at UVM is looking for a few counselors who have completed their Master’s degree (licensed or pre-licensed) who are interested in working 1-3 days per week to cover triage shifts at CAPS during the academic year. This work includes conducting a brief safety assessments and working with UVM students to understand current needs and to work collaboratively to develop a plan for next steps. It is most often the first encounter that students have with our services and we greatly value this work as it can set the tone for a student’s experience with mental health at UVM.
We have found that this opportunity can be useful in supplementing a counselor’s private practice. Triage work counts towards clinical hours and weekly supervision is provided.
hourly rate is $31-$38/hour
depending on years of relevant experience.

Student Health Positions
RN
Provide independent and collaborative clinical nursing care to student patients in Student Health Services (SHS) in the Center for Health and Wellbeing that includes: nursing assessments, patient education, and triage and treatments within an RN’s scope of practice. Provide administrative nursing services for UVM students. Support the mission, vision, and philosophy of Student Health Services, CHWB, the Division of Student Affairs and University of Vermont, which include promoting an inclusive environment for students and staff of different backgrounds, as well as a healthy, positive, and supportive work environment.
This is a 10 month position.
Student Engagement Positions
Basic Needs Coordinator
The Basic Needs Coordinator focuses on capacity building for both on-campus and off-campus resources to point UVM students to essential needs — food, shelter, clothing, and healthcare. Lead and organize student volunteers to provide direct support to students for basic needs so that students can participate in the educational experience at UVM. Provide process guidance for students applying to 3SquaresVT (SNAP). Develop and facilitate workshops on basic needs topics and train volunteers. Through collaborations with campus organizations and community partners, create a network of support for students. Organize and share information about all resources for basic needs in ways that are easy for students to access and understand. By fostering a culture of support and empowerment, contribute to the overall well-being and success of students at UVM.
