- This version includes data from 1991 to 2017. Data from 1991 to 2013 have seedling counts in the count total field and the CountClass2 field. A different protocol was applied in 2014 through 2016 that included all seedlings regardless of height. From 1991 to 2013 and 2017 seedlings were counted based on type and height classes. A conifer seedling was a class 1 if it is less than 6 inches and a class 2 if it is greater or equal to 6 inches in height. A hardwood seedling is considered class 1 if it is greater than 12 inches in height
