Course #1 - Modules for Teaching Online
This course (MTO) addresses how you can create engaging, inclusive, and meaningful online learning experiences for your students. It has four related, but independent modules. Each module takes between 3–5 hours to complete the readings and viewings. While the focus is online teaching, many of the strategies, practices, and theories for effective teaching that we cover also overlap with face-to-face teaching. Explore the modules as you like, and return to access these resources as often as you choose. The modules titles are:
- Backward Course Design
- Designing Student-Friendly Online Courses
- Engaging Online Assignments
- Content Considerations for Online Courses
Receive a letter of completion for MTO
To receive confirmation of completion, submit all assignments within each of the four modules of the course, and complete the anonymous feedback survey. When you are done, let us know by emailing ctl@uvm.edu using the subject line "MTO Completion Request."
