January Mindfulness Retreat
January 22 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pmFree
Join us for a day-long retreat to connect with colleagues and students who are interested in exploring mindfulness practices. No prior experience is necessary, and all are welcome!
This retreat is an opportunity to sink deeply into a variety of individual and relational mindfulness practices with guidance and encouragement. The community of participants will be composed of faculty who are interested in mindfulness practices in and out of the classroom and also undergraduate students who are participating in UVM’s Mindfulness’ facilitator training program.
Here’s the flow of activities for the day:
We will all be together for morning meditation practices (instruction will be provided), and then participants will have a choice to eat lunch in community or in silence. After lunch, we’ll move into group activities (a choice of gentle yoga, loving kindness practice, music movement) that are designed for faculty only, and then we’ll come back together as a whole group for the closing.
All activities, including time to be in dialogue with each other, are optional.
While registration is closed, please email Wendy at email@example.com to see if attending is possible. While there is physical space, we needed to submit the lunch order. If you are interested in attending, we’ll see if we can add to it.
This event will be facilitated by the UVM Wellness Center and the CTL Contemplative Faculty Learning Community.
