Decolonizing Your Syllabus

Monday, January 11, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Free

What stories does you syllabus tell about the discipline and subject at hand? Whose voices and perspectives are centered and whose are marginalized or absent? If you’ve found yourself wanting to address inequalities, gaps, and silences in your syllabi and courses, but don’t know where to start or don’t know where to go next, please join our workshop on decolonizing your syllabi. All faculty are welcome regardless of what stage you are at in syllabi development. We’ll offer an intro to decolonizing processes and provide tools and support for helping you to integrate this work into your own syllabi and courses.

Facilitated by Holly Buckland Parker and Mary Burke.

You will receive a Microsoft Teams calendar invitation 1-2 days prior to your event explaining how to join and participate in the meeting.  If you click “accept,” it will populate on your Teams calendar for easy access!
