BIO
Phoebe is a native Vermonter whose appreciation for community and the environment runs deep. She earned her B.S. in Conservation Biology from St. Lawrence University. Her studies took her to places like Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Kenya where she explored the interconnections between humans and nature.
After graduating, Phoebe accepted an 11-month AmeriCorps member position with Barnstable County AmeriCorps Cape Cod - a national service program that addresses the critical environmental and disaster response needs of Cape Cod communities. Phoebe's service year inspired her to stay on Cape Cod for five-plus years to work as part of the Barnstable County AmeriCorps Cape Cod staff in a variety of supervisory and administrative roles.
In 2024, the Green Mountains called Phoebe home. After working a couple of seasonal positions in agriculture and Vermont specialty food sales, Phoebe found her way to Proctor Maple Reseach Center. She looks forward to building connections with communities and stakeholders who are dedicated to raising awareness about the environmental, economic, and cultural value of maple.
