BIO

I am a Ph.D. student in Food System with a focus on sustainable dietary patterns. My educational background is Nutrition Sciences and I have a masters degree in Health Sciences in Nutrition from Iran. While working on my masters thesis which was related to plant-based diet and chronic kidney disease, I got interested in health and environmental related outcomes of plant based diets and decided to further my studies in this field. I also have work experience in a health center and a hospital in Iran as a dietitian. During my working years I participated in different research projects to hone my research abilities and prepared myself as a future Ph.D. candidate. I am passionate about hiking, mountain climbing, traveling, and exploring the world. I also love participating in different sports like fitness training and biking.
