Sevda Alvirdizadeh is a Ph.D. student in Food Systems with a focus on sustainable dietary patterns. Her educational background is in Nutrition Sciences and she has a masters degree in Health Sciences in Nutrition from Iran. While working on her masters thesis which was related to plant-based diet and chronic kidney disease, she got interested in health and environmental related outcomes of plant based diets and decided to further her studies in this field. She also has work experience in a health center and a hospital in Iran as a dietitian. During her working years she participated in different research projects to hone her research abilities and prepared herself as a future Ph.D. candidate. She is passionate about hiking, mountain climbing, traveling, and exploring the world. She also loves participating in different sports like fitness training and biking.
