Teresa Mares, Interim Director of the Food Systems Graduate Program and Associate Professor of Anthropology, recently published her book, Life on the Other Border: Farmworkers and Food Justice in Vermont. According to her research, 18 percent of Vermont's undocumented migrant farmworkers are food insecure, although this number is likely much too low and the rate is probably closer to 50 percent.
