The Vermont Institute for Government has developed guides for Vermont citizens about local government. The Institute is a non-profit organization offering education and training to state and local officials and to the public, producing and publishing guides and handbooks on subjects of use to government officials and the public; and offering other services to ensure that government remains responsive, accessible, and competent.
