AERO hybrid vehicle exhibit

The UVM Alternative Energy Racing Organization (AERO) team will exhibit their Hybrid car "GreenSpeed" on Thursday, July 3 at 9:00 am in front of the Dick Mazza's Store at 279 Lakeshore Drive, Colchester, VT.
University of Vermont President Daniel Fogel and Domenico Grasso, Dean of the UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (CEMS), will join Lt. Governor Brian Dubie and Senator Dick Mazza at the Dick Mazza's Store for an important press conference following the exhibition.
The AERO made its inaugural participation in the International Formula Hybrid Competition with other teams from as far away as Russia, Canada and Taiwan at the New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, NH, May 5-7, 2008, and received second place in technical design (behind Embry-Riddle) as well as awards for: Best Hybrid-in-Progress, Chrysler's Best Hybrid System Engineering Award, and the Thayer School Dean's Award for Most Innovative Design.
