Delegates from Chongqing University collaborate with UVM to address environmental quality challenges of China's Three Gorges Dam

A delegation from Chongqing Technology and Business University (CTBU) visited with professors from the UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (CEMS) March 16-18 to make arrangements for a conference to be held in China later this year.
The delegation led by Yunchao Chen (Vice President for Foreign Affairs) and with members Zhenghong Huang (Dean, School of Computer Science and Information Engineering), Chengyong Yuan (Director, Development and Planning), and Xiaolin Zuo (Director, School of Foreign Languages) is looking to establish extensive collaboration with UVM, including joint conferences, co-teaching courses, faculty and student exchanges, and collaborative research. In particular, holistic solutions are being sought that can resolve environmental issues related to the Three Gorge s Dam.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for UVM CEMS to work to help build holistic and sustainable environmental solutions for the Three Gorges Dam region," says CEMS Dean Domenico Grasso.
