UVM ASCE takes 1st place in VSE Golf Tournament

UVM students Ryan Trudel, James Coolidge, Travis Gingras and Ryan Davenport
Members of UVM’s College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (CEMS) American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Chapter, took 1st place in the College Division of the Vermont Society of Engineers (VSE) 11th Annual Golf Classic, held September 23, 2011 at the Barre Country Club, Barre, Vermont. Proceeds from the Tournament go to the BSE Education and Research Foundation Fund for scholarships for UVM, Norwich and VTC students.
The goal of UVM’s ASCE Chapter is to bring students together in a social environment to share engineering ideas and to work on hands-on projects using engineering knowledge, and to participate in community service projects.
The VSE is actively involved in the advancement of the engineering profession in Vermont, through the professional improvement of its members, continued support and encouraged development of Vermont engineering students, and legislative actions.
